Mental Skills Training I: Goal Setting & Visualization

About Course

This session explores two cornerstone mental skills: goal setting and imagery. You’ll see how structured goals provide direction, sharpen focus, and boost confidence, while visualization prepares both mind and body for peak performance. We’ll break down the SMART goal framework, distinguish between process, performance, and outcome goals, and examine the science of mental rehearsal, including the PETTLEP model. Blending theory with hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to design goals that stick and develop imagery routines that enhance competitive readiness.
